We are 3 weeks into the month and so far it has been fairly normal. We get new snow every week and also a little rain. Presidents weekend was great, and Monday was the best of the season. New, dry snow, low crowds and conditions held up throughout the day. Only 4 or 5 more weekends of Hyak left in the season.

It was a better Jan, lets hope it continues.
January ended with just short of the normal snowfall, around 110" which gives us a good snowpack that should last us for the season. Following some big snow dumps we have been getting some rain, but so far it hasn't hurt us too much. As I write this it is raining at the pass, but SL is supposed to drop to 2k' by Fri night and more snow to follow just in time for the weekend. So far the season is OK, not horrible, but not earth shattering either.

Hyak is OPEN
Ok, so now there is something to report. The Holidays came and went and there was not enough snow to operate Hyak. Into Jan the snow began to dump and we received aprox 3' of snow from Jan 9-13 and it is forecast to continue snowing for at least the next couple weeks. Hyak opened Sunday the 12th to great coverage. Looks like things are looking up!

Not much to see...
Not a lot to report about since Hyak has yet to get started. West kicked off about 3 weeks ago with minimal snow, then Central and finally Silver Fir last week. Heavy rains through new years has killed Central and Silver Fir but we are finally getting snow again. Hyak needs a good storm before it can think about opening, though it is prob in better shape then Silver Fir.
